Crypto Lists spoke with Michela Pace from Swintt about the story behind the Swintt name, the role of Elysium Studios, upcoming slot trends, Pirate Pledge Hold & Win, live casino plans, and where the company sees game development heading next.
Developer interviews are useful because they give players a look behind the games. A review can explain RTP, volatility, features and design, but direct comments from a studio can reveal why certain mechanics are chosen, which themes are gaining traction, and how suppliers think about the next wave of casino content.
Swintt has become a familiar name among online casino game providers, with its own releases and additional studios working under the wider Swintt umbrella. In this interview, Michela shares more about the company’s identity, creative direction, and ambitions for the coming year.

Where did the name ‘Swintt’ originate and does it mean anything?
Michela Pace: Our founders wanted a name that captured the essence of winning, a core element of what we do. After brainstorming several options, “Swint” stood out, but since it was already taken, an extra “T” was added and that is how Swintt was born.
Crypto Lists: Short, memorable and clearly connected to winning. That makes sense for a game studio, especially in a market where developer names need to work across many different countries and casino brands. You can find out more about Swintt here.
Can you tell us more about Elysium Studios
…and how they fit into the Swintt family?
Michela Pace: Elysium Studios is a team of passionate and highly skilled creatives with a strong background in game development. They played a key role in shaping the visual identity of some of Red Tiger’s early hits, including Dragon’s Luck.
Over the years, the studio has grown significantly and now develops its own in-house games featuring signature mechanics and engaging bonus features.
Elysium Studios fits seamlessly within the Swintt family because we share a common vision: delivering entertainment.
Today’s players expect immersive gameplay, strong visuals, and innovative features that go beyond traditional slot mechanics, and Elysium Studios delivers exactly that.
Crypto Lists: This is also where Swintt becomes more interesting from a player perspective. Studio groups that combine several creative teams can often produce a wider mix of games than suppliers relying on one narrow design style.
Out of all the titles, do you have any personal favorites?
Michela Pace: One of my absolute favourites is I Hate Fairytales, part of the Elysium Studios-driven Swintt range.

This slot delivers an epic fantasy adventure with a rebellious twist. Instead of the traditional fairytale experience, players encounter feisty princesses like Snow Wild, Aria, and Rapunsell, each bringing unique game-enhancing features.
On top of that, players can unlock Free Spins and the Smash Bonus through in-game triggers or by buying directly into the features.
Crypto Lists: The fairytale theme has been used many times in slots, so the rebellious angle helps the game stand out. Feature-buy options also remain popular with players who prefer getting straight to bonus rounds, although they are not available in every regulated market.
Are there any themes you’ve noticed are more popular?
Michela Pace: Ancient Egypt remains a timeless favourite among players. It is a theme that never goes out of style.
However, we have also seen a surge in popularity for fishing-themed slots, as well as pirate-themed games, which have been capturing players’ imaginations with their adventurous spirit and immersive mechanics.
Crypto Lists: That matches what we often see across casino libraries. Egyptian, fishing, pirate, fruit, mythology and animal themes continue to perform well because players immediately understand the setting. The challenge for studios is making familiar themes feel fresh through mechanics, pacing, visuals and bonus structure.
Pirate Pledge Hold & Win is coming out soon…
…Can you tell us something cool about it?

Michela Pace: We are really excited about Pirate Pledge Hold & Win. It includes the ever-popular Hold & Win feature, where special symbols can land to boost winnings.
What truly sets this game apart is the introduction of the Bet Booster, a brand-new feature that triples the chance of triggering the bonus round.
This adds an extra layer of excitement and gives players even more opportunities to land big wins.
Crypto Lists: Hold & Win remains one of the most recognizable modern slot mechanics, especially among players who enjoy collecting symbols and bonus-round tension. The Bet Booster angle should make the game more attractive to players who like higher feature frequency, though players should always check the game rules and RTP information before playing.
Are there any plans to diversify into live casino?
Michela Pace: Yes. We previously had a live casino division, and we are looking at reviving it in the near future. Stay tuned, there is definitely more to come on this front.
Crypto Lists: Live casino has become increasingly important for both crypto casinos and traditional online casinos. Slots still dominate many lobbies, but live dealer games often create stronger retention because players interact with real presenters, table formats and faster decision cycles.
What are the primary ambitions for Swintt in 2025?
Michela Pace: 2025 is all about growth. We have kicked off the year with some significant milestones, including securing our ISO 27001:2022 certification, which demonstrates our commitment to data security and compliance.
Additionally, we have obtained certification to enter the Greek market, marking another exciting expansion for Swintt.
Beyond that, our focus remains on delivering exceptional slot experiences. We will continue working closely with Elysium Studios to develop cutting-edge games that push the boundaries of innovation and entertainment.
Crypto Lists: The ISO certification point is worth noting because data security and compliance are increasingly important in iGaming. Game studios are not only judged by creativity anymore. Operators also care about technical reliability, market access, integrations and trust.
Are there any particular trends you foresee in the coming years?
Michela Pace: The industry is evolving rapidly, and we expect to see several key trends shaping the future.
New mechanics and features will continue to redefine gameplay, offering players more engaging and interactive experiences.
Streaming and influencer marketing are becoming increasingly important, as content creators bring games closer to players and drive engagement.
AI-driven game development will also play a bigger role, helping studios create richer visuals, dynamic mechanics, and more personalised player experiences.
Crypto Lists: The AI point is especially interesting. Used well, AI could help studios test ideas faster, improve visual production, localise content, and personalise game discovery. Used badly, it could also lead to more generic games. The studios that benefit most will likely be the ones using AI as a creative tool rather than a replacement for strong game design.
Crypto Lists says: Thank you to Michela Pace for taking the time to answer our questions. It was interesting to hear more about Swintt, Elysium Studios, upcoming game mechanics, and the direction of the wider casino game market.
Final Thoughts
This interview gives a useful look at how Swintt thinks about game development: familiar themes, stronger mechanics, studio collaboration, certification, live casino opportunities, and the future role of AI.
For players, the most relevant takeaway is that slot development continues to move beyond simple reels and standard bonus rounds. Features such as Hold & Win, Bet Boosters, feature buys, stronger visual identities and studio-led innovation are becoming increasingly important.
For crypto casino players in particular, supplier quality still matters. A casino may accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum or USDT, but the overall experience also depends heavily on which software providers are available, whether games load smoothly, and how strong the live casino and slot catalogue really is.
