Crypto Games Founder on RTP, Jackpots and In-House Games

Most crypto casino interviews age badly because they read like promotion. This one is worth keeping for a different reason: it gives a direct look at how a crypto casino founder thought about in-house games, low house edge, jackpots, RNG testing, licensing and crypto withdrawals during the earlier phase of crypto gambling.

Editor’s Note (2026): This interview was originally conducted in 2022. We have preserved the conversation because it provides a rare look into how a crypto casino founder viewed RTP, jackpot design, licensing and game development at the time. Some operational details may have changed since publication. The casino stood out at the time because it focused heavily on its own games rather than relying only on third-party slots and live casino providers.

We have updated the framing of this interview for 2026. The original answers are preserved where useful, but we have added editorial notes to make the article more helpful for readers today. Casino rules, licenses, jackpots, game availability and withdrawal speeds can change, so players should always verify the current terms before depositing.

Editor’s Note 2026: This interview was originally conducted in 2022. We have preserved it because it provides first-hand commentary from a crypto casino founder on RTP, jackpot mechanics, licensing and game development. Some operational details may have changed since publication.

Crypto Lists view: The most useful part of this interview is not the promotional language. It is the explanation of why some crypto casinos build in-house games and how that can affect house edge, bonus policy and payout structure.

How come you’re able to offer such a low house edge?

Robert Martinez: We are able to offer a low house edge because we provide in-house games to the players. We don’t offer deposit bonuses or anything similar because we believe that those kinds of bonuses are only for luring people into making deposits by showing them attractive bonuses which are almost impossible to claim due to high rollover requirements.

Robert Martinez: Instead of those bonuses, we decided to offer players a lower house edge, which gives them more benefit in the long run since they have better odds of winning in our games.

Crypto Lists note: This is a more interesting answer than the usual “we offer huge bonuses” casino pitch. A lower house edge can be more valuable than a large bonus with difficult wagering terms, but players still need to understand variance. A 98% or 99% RTP does not mean a player will get that result during a short session.

The basic idea is simple. If a casino builds and operates its own games, it may have more control over pricing, game design and margins. That can make low-edge games possible. The trade-off is that players may get fewer familiar branded slots or live dealer titles from major studios.

Was it a straightforward decision to focus on your own games, given the costs, time, and research it takes?

Robert Martinez: Yes, it was actually the first thing we decided when we started to make proposals for Crypto Games. It is true that providing in-house games is more costly and time consuming, but we don’t want to be just another crypto casino that provides the same flashy games that all other casinos have.

Robert Martinez: Focusing on making our own games also helps us to provide games with a very low house edge, unlike games provided by third parties which can have much higher house edges.

Crypto Lists observation: This is the key strategic difference. Many online casinos compete through bonus size, game volume or celebrity-style branding. Crypto Games appears to have positioned itself around simpler crypto-first games, lower margins and direct control over game design.

That does not automatically make a casino better or safer. It does, however, give players a useful question to ask: is the casino offering value through fairer game maths, or mainly through promotional offers that are hard to convert into withdrawable funds?

Anyone comparing the operator today can also check the current Crypto Games review, where the latest available information should be reviewed separately from this older founder interview.

Is Crypto Games considering adding more slots in future?

Robert Martinez: Sure, we are open to adding more different kinds of slots in the future. If our players demand more slots, we will add more slots for them. Player satisfaction is always our top priority.

Crypto Lists note: This is an area where readers should check the current casino lobby rather than rely on an old interview. Slot availability can change quickly as casinos add or remove providers, regions, payment options and restricted markets.

From a player perspective, the question is not only “how many games are available?” A smaller selection of transparent games may be better for some crypto players than a large lobby full of high-volatility titles with unclear terms.

Dice v2 at Crypto Games

Which are the most popular games on the site, and is any particular one the clear front runner?

Robert Martinez: Dice, roulette and blackjack are the games that our players love to play. If you guessed Dice to be the clear front runner from all those games, then you are right. It is so popular that we made another version of Dice, called Dice v2, with a better-looking interface for dice players.

Crypto Lists observation: Dice being the clear favourite makes sense for a crypto-native casino. Dice is simple, fast, transparent and familiar to early Bitcoin casino users. It also fits the culture of provably fair gambling better than many traditional casino games.

Still, players should not confuse a low house edge with low risk. Dice can move quickly, and fast games can make it easier to over-bet or chase losses. A low-edge game can still be harmful if a player has poor bankroll control.

Was there any reason why you chose Curacao?

Robert Martinez: We chose Curacao because it was recommended to us by a team of experts that helped build other casinos. We did consider more places to get our license from, but based on our research Curacao seemed to be the most flexible one out there, both for us and the players.

Crypto Lists follow-up: Curacao was one of the dominant licensing jurisdictions for crypto casinos when this interview was first conducted. Since then, Curacao has moved through regulatory reforms intended to modernise its gambling framework and strengthen supervision.

For players, the practical point is simple: a license is better than no license, but not all licenses offer the same protection. Players should check who the current license holder is, which regulator is responsible, whether complaints can be escalated, and whether the casino’s terms are clear before depositing.

There is also a Random Number Generator certificate, which is a great addition. Would you mind elaborating on what this assures for your players?

Robert Martinez: The RNG certificate was awarded to us by iTech Labs for passing their Marsaglia’s “diehard” tests for statistical randomness. This proves that all our games are fair and the RNG sequences are unpredictable, non-repeatable and uniformly distributed. This ensures that there is no way we or the players can predict what the results of the bet will be.

Crypto Lists note: RNG testing is important, but players should understand what it does and does not prove. A certificate can support the claim that game outcomes are random, but it does not guarantee that every player will win, that future versions of a game remain unchanged, or that the casino has no other operational risks.

Independent testing labs such as iTech Labs are commonly used in the gambling industry for game testing and certification. For broader player protection standards, the UK Gambling Commission explains how gambling software and remote technical standards are assessed in regulated markets through its remote gambling and software technical standards.

Casino jackpot winner

There’s a fantastic jackpot available for 50 ETH right now… how can someone win it? Is it random?

Robert Martinez: The jackpot is available for all our supported cryptocurrencies for deposit, not just ETH. The dice jackpot currently holds almost 3.7 BTC.

Robert Martinez: You don’t win the jackpot randomly. There are criteria for each bet result that must be met. For dice, you need to roll 7.777 or 77.777. It should be a winning bet with profit greater than what you wagered, meet our minimum bet amount requirement, and hit the “jackpot number”, which is 77.

Robert Martinez: You hit the jackpot number 77 if the last two digits of your server seed and client seed combined, when encrypted in SHA512, give the number 77.

Robert Martinez: The roulette jackpot has a different rule. To win the jackpot you need to roll 7 four times in a row with the same currency you are betting with. Like dice, the bet should also be a winning bet and the profit should be greater than what you have wagered. The minimum bet amount should also be met to be eligible for the jackpot. The jackpot is progressive, so it increases over time.

Crypto Lists observation: This is one of the more useful parts of the interview because it explains that the jackpot is not simply a random prize drop. There are game-specific conditions, minimum bet requirements and seed-based mechanics. Players should always check the current jackpot rules before playing, especially when a crypto jackpot is advertised in BTC or ETH and the fiat value can change sharply.

As crypto players love fast payouts; how fast can someone withdraw in fiat or cryptocurrency?

Robert Martinez: We are purely a cryptocurrency-based casino and allow payouts in cryptocurrency because it is more secure, safe and fast. Our payouts are sent instantly.

Crypto Lists note: Instant processing does not always mean instant arrival. A casino may approve a withdrawal immediately, but the total time can still depend on blockchain confirmation requirements, network congestion, wallet checks, internal risk controls and whether any account review is triggered.

This matters because “instant payout” is one of the most overused phrases in crypto gambling. A more useful question is: when was the withdrawal approved, when was the transaction broadcast, how many confirmations were required, and when did the player actually receive spendable funds?

For context, Bitcoin confirmation times can vary depending on network conditions and fee levels, while other chains may settle faster but come with different trade-offs. Players should treat payout speed as a real testable feature, not just a marketing claim.

Crypto Games is unfortunately not allowing players from your country, but we would suggest that you check out BC Game instead.

Are there any exciting plans for Q1 2023 that you’d like to share?

Robert Martinez: We do have a lot of plans for Q1 2023, but players are more excited about a new game that we will be releasing soon.

Crypto Lists 2026 follow-up: This part of the interview is now historical. Product roadmaps from 2022 should not be treated as current information. Players should check the live casino lobby, latest review and official terms to see which games, currencies, countries and withdrawal rules apply today.

What Players Can Still Learn From This Interview

The most important lesson from this interview is that casino value does not always come from the biggest bonus or the largest game library.

Crypto Games presented a different argument: build the games in-house, keep the house edge low, avoid impossible bonus structures and focus on crypto-native payouts. That approach will appeal to some players and not others, but it is at least a clear position.

For players comparing crypto casinos in 2026, the better questions are practical ones.

Game fairness: Is the RNG tested, and are the provably fair mechanics easy to understand?

House edge: Are the odds clearly stated, or is the casino hiding behind bonus language?

Withdrawals: Are payout times tested and verifiable, or only advertised?

Licensing: Is there a real license and a clear complaints route?

Terms: Are jackpot, bonus and withdrawal rules easy to find before depositing?

That is where an interview like this still has value. It gives readers something to compare against the casino’s current behaviour. If a casino claims to be low-edge, fast-paying and player-first, those claims should still be visible in the product years later.

FAQ

Who is Robert Martinez from Crypto Games?
Robert Martinez was interviewed by Crypto Lists as a co-founder of Crypto Games. The interview focused on in-house casino games, low house edge, RNG testing, jackpots, Curacao licensing and crypto withdrawals.

Why did Crypto Games focus on in-house games?
According to Martinez, the casino wanted more control over game design and house edge instead of relying only on third-party games. He argued this allowed Crypto Games to offer lower-edge games to players.

Does a low house edge guarantee profit?
No. A low house edge can improve the mathematical odds compared with higher-edge games, but it does not guarantee short-term winnings. Variance, bankroll management and game speed still matter.

What does RNG certification mean?
RNG certification supports the claim that game outcomes are random and unpredictable. It does not remove all casino risk or guarantee that a player will win.

Are instant crypto withdrawals always instant?
Not necessarily. A casino may process a withdrawal quickly, but blockchain confirmations, network congestion, wallet checks or account reviews can affect the total time before funds arrive.
