What is the Web Summit in Lisbon?
Great question, and we’re glad you asked. Put simply, it’s the biggest technology event in the world, and that’s not according to us, but the Financial Times. This year, it’s attracted a record 71,033 guests coming from over 100 countries. On top of that, there are more investors and startups here than in any previous year.
“The sheer scale of this year’s event is extraordinary. The event space is at maximum
capacity, and we are welcoming more attendees, startups, speakers and investors than
ever before. We are delighted to be back to full capacity, and are eager to continue to
grow in the years to come.”- Paddy Cosgrave, CEO, Web Summit
Whether you think it’s ‘Glastonbury for geeks’ (in the words of the Guardian) or ‘the best tech conference on the planet’ (Forbes), it’s pretty certain that for anyone interested in the cryptosphere it’s one of the hottest tickets in town.
